Conditions for obtaining the benefit
Any significant change in the technical characteristics of a vehicle requires prior authorization from the specialized services of the ATTT.
The cases
A significant conversion of a vehicle already registered or approved is considered to be any transformation affecting the chassis or involving the modification of one or more characteristics on the description leaflet or on the registration certificate. This may include:
- The change in weights.
- The decrease or increase in the number of places.
- Modification or replacement of the chassis.
- The replacement of the engine.
- The change of the body.
- The addition of new energy.
Authorization in principle
It is issued only if processing is possible and after identification of the vehicle. Its validity is limited to 3 months.
Required documents
- Complete the printout issued by the ATTT.
- The authorization in principle.
- The license plate number.
- An isolated approval report of the vehicle after conversion.
- The customs services agreement for vehicles whose processing requires the payment of additional taxes and duties.
- Receipt of Duties or Certificate of Exemption.
Fees
70 TND (45 TND + 25 TND edition of a new grey card).
